Gobble gobble

Here is a picture from this afternoon's swing session.  It was mid 30s and sunny so we had to take advantage of the weather!  Baby enjoyed his swing as well, watching the big brothers swing high and jump off.  No wonder they have so many pairs of pants with ripped knees!  Between pants and shoes, we can barely keep up.  Tomorrow's meal will be Hispanic in nature - yum!
Happy Thanksgiving 2008!

ddaaadddaaadddaa

Baby Isaac has found his voice and boy, does he have a lot to say.  When happy, it is all gummie smiles.  And that is 90% of the time.
But when he is not, watch out!  He has plenty of syllables to say!  I hear a lot of dada...which is grand!

Typical Friday night

These are pictures from a pretty typical Friday night: lots of computers, baby drool and hanging.  We are excitiedly preparing for the arrival of Unk and Aunt Mandy, Grandma D will come to visit, Grandpop and Grandma Jan will be here as well with Bousha starting off the holiday this weekend. But thankfully, we will only have one turkey dinner.  One can only eat so much bird.  This year's theme is Mexican food.  Last year it was Indian.  Maybe next year it will be German? Only time will tell!  The weather is frosty outside, really time to get plastic up on the windows.  What a necessary pain.  Still no pearlies for the baby yet.  He is chewing on everything in sight (see a couple entries below for further proof) so we are waiting to see when they pop out.  Will and Z get out half day next Wednesday so they are excited as well!
Cheers!

Life after land line

and here it is ladies and gents....the wave of da'future!  I am now the proud owner of the G3 iphone.  After much prompting, cajoling and convincing from my Mac diehard hubbie, that this IS the way to go, I took the plunge.
So, for anyone trying to get ahold of us, the land line is caput!  I am going to send an email to everyone to give the new digits.  if you don't hear from me today, please drop me an email to let me know you did not get it.  DISCLAIMER: we are now in the teething stage of life so the fam is suffering sleep deprivation so if I forget to write u, it only reflects badly of me!
party on Wayne, party on Garth...

Impressions 5- revisited...

So, here is the Forton Five....visiting the old stomping grounds of Impressions 5.  Those Michiganders that have been here know what I am talkin' about.  Back in the day, this kindly museum in our State's capital tried it's best to do good by the people in the name of science.  But back in the day, many of the exhibits were broken or outdated.  I am happy to say that Impressions 5 has been reborn.  There are new exhibits with robotic arms the kids can control, a stroll through the heart, an ER room with jumper cables and other equipment and plenty of bubbles.  The floor is still the gorgeous old wood and the walls are still brick and the food groups exhibit is gone.  Daddy and I have made it a point to get the kids around to different attractions and I have to say, this was the best museum we have been to so far.  Everything was fun, the exhibits were in working order and the bubbles are great!  Here is a picture of all of us in the mirror room!  And no, we did not plan to ALL wear green in State country.

take one and call me in the morning

They do say...an Apple a day...keeps the doctor away.  Do you think they meant this??  Can you say teething???????

the little spartie

Here is the big man and his cap.  Hard to believe his 97 percentile head is almost too big for it.  Ya know what they say...big head, big brain!  Thank you grandpop and grandma Jan for this great gift.  The winter coat/suit is a perfect size- just a bit big- perfect for bulking winter clothes.
He is 7 months old now and sitting on his own. He is not quite ready to crawl..but when he does...world (ours) watch out.  There are Legos to think of, cats to scatter and a plethera of dust bunnies to round up.  We have wood floors so sweeping is a constant must.  I once saw the perfect crawling child outfit- it looked like the bottom of an cotton mop- so as they crawled, they dusted too.  and like my dear dog Sunny, there is constant drool to clean up.  The doc said this week it won't be long for those bottom pearlies to pop through!

BOO 2008

Here are my cuties....a transformer and Indiana Jones.  Me, I am a mummy mommy.  And what a beautiful day it was - warm and sunny.  Perfect.  Now, you can barely see Zach because he blends with my moms new car...a sweet mustard colored pt cruiser.  It is a custom limited edition.  It really is a nice ride.  Better than scrapin' your butt on the ground in that old Saturn. :-)
Baby-cakes did not trick or treat with us.  Mom and Mark took turns watching him.  Even though it was nice out, he has a pretty yucky head cold and being out was not the best for him.  If only he would sleep more than a couple hours at a time.  All in good time, right?
At the of this week the leaves will mostly be down so then it will be time to pile them up and jump in them.  I will be sure to get pictures of that.  I still love to do that myself!
Raise your glass o'cider!  Fall is here!
